A few thoughts and observations:
1) Robert Gibbs (Auburn) hid in his office.
2) Nick Saban looked comfortable up there. Saban 2012?
3) Who wrote the gO BAMA line for him? Well played.

So, I should have posted this a while back, but I saved it until today. Thanks for the shout out Fred!
You made me watch defense. Three years ago I started hearing that a true freshman was going to start at middle linebacker and call the plays. I thought to myself, “This kid may be special”. I was at your first game. It was also Nick Saban’s first game at Alabama. I remember it more as your first game. I looked at my buddy P and said, “Just watch #25. He is good and is always near the ball.” Up until that point I always watched the defense as a whole. I never watched a single player. You made watching one player okay to do (mainly because you were almost always in on the tackle). We left at halftime because Western Carolina was getting blown out, but looking back I wish I would have stayed and watched more.
In between then and now you have been a staple on this team. Yes, there were moments that you made me nervous. I even questioned you a time or two. Actually, just two. (What were you thinking with the personal foul against VT…and why were you ever on a motorcycle?)
Thank you for being the true team player. With all the great players on this championship team, you are my favorite. Go make it happen in the NFL. Hopefully, you can somehow end up on the Falcons, but I wouldn’t mind seeing you in a Chiefs jersey.
Tuscaloosa News: Peek following grandfather’s footsteps to Rose Bowl
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.
The rose-shaped gold football charm Kathie Peek will wear around her neck today at Rose Bowl Stadium got there by chance. But don’t tell her it’s only by chance that her son, Colin, is playing football at the University of Alabama.
That was fate.

Morning Fellas,
I’m watching the LA sun rise over a day that will soon witness #13! I
got in late last night and still can’t believe I slept four hours. My
flight went from bad to awesome because of Alabama fans. While I
didn’t see many on the way out, I did me a cool guy, Mike from Mobile.
The airline gave me a middle seat for a 5 hour 20 minute flight -
guess they thought that would break me but they didn’t know my program
has been through Shula and probation.
Mike asked his wife to switch her exit row seat with me!! “Baby, let
me talk about the game with my friend.” We knew each for all of 15
minutes before that. I got a friend of mine to switch seats and give
them a better spot for the game
Once we got to LA, I saw nothing but Bama jerseys, hats and other
gear. I even saw an old guy with a oxygen tank with an A and Roll Tide
on it! He had to be 100.
I sent Tonio a pic overlooking the city from my plane to circulate.
This is my first time in Cali and it has already started great!

This is what we’ve talked the talk and walked the walk for fellas.
By the way, the wind chill in DC was so bad they couldn’t give it a
number when I left. Its about 75 right now in LA.

Scott Cochran is Alabama’s Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Not only does Coach Cochran care about the health of the Alabama football team, he also cares about your health.
He also pumps up the crowd. (3:05 mark)
He pumps up the team. (Listen close at the 1:02 mark. This video was before the Georgia game last year when Georgia was wearing all black uniforms.)
Even with all his antics and thick Cajun draw, Coach Cochran is most famous for is how he holds both arms above his head with his 4 fingers on each hand held out during the 4th quarter of game. Try holding your arms straight up for just a minute. Now imagine doing it for an entire 4th quarter. This man is intense and I love him. Look for him during the 4th quarter on Thursday night.
