A few thoughts and observations:
1) Robert Gibbs (Auburn) hid in his office.
2) Nick Saban looked comfortable up there. Saban 2012?
3) Who wrote the gO BAMA line for him? Well played.

So, I should have posted this a while back, but I saved it until today. Thanks for the shout out Fred!
So unless you live under a rock, you know that National Signing Day has finally arrived. Clay Travis has a great column that everyone should check out. He hits the nail on the head about how I feel about recruiting.
RollTide.com has stepped up this year and given us a live webcam focused on the fax machine at the University of Alabama. Yep, I will officially be very unproductive at work today. Go check out the camera. Great idea.
Alabama had 10 players invited to the NFL Combine. Here is the full list.
Javier Arenas – DB
Terrence Cody – NT
Brandon Deaderick – DE
Kareem Jackson – DB
Mike Johnson – OG
Rolando McClain – LB
Colin Peek – TE
Leigh Tiffin – K
Lorenzo Washington – DE
Justin Woodall – SS
I would have loved to see Anders and Reamer get the invite, but 10 players is an amazing accomplishment.
I can’t believe USC would be dumb enough to hire him. Didn’t he fail as a head coach already in California? Is this loose mouthed hothead really the guy you want leading your program when you are headed towards a probation?
You made me watch defense. Three years ago I started hearing that a true freshman was going to start at middle linebacker and call the plays. I thought to myself, “This kid may be special”. I was at your first game. It was also Nick Saban’s first game at Alabama. I remember it more as your first game. I looked at my buddy P and said, “Just watch #25. He is good and is always near the ball.” Up until that point I always watched the defense as a whole. I never watched a single player. You made watching one player okay to do (mainly because you were almost always in on the tackle). We left at halftime because Western Carolina was getting blown out, but looking back I wish I would have stayed and watched more.
In between then and now you have been a staple on this team. Yes, there were moments that you made me nervous. I even questioned you a time or two. Actually, just two. (What were you thinking with the personal foul against VT…and why were you ever on a motorcycle?)
Thank you for being the true team player. With all the great players on this championship team, you are my favorite. Go make it happen in the NFL. Hopefully, you can somehow end up on the Falcons, but I wouldn’t mind seeing you in a Chiefs jersey.
